We visited around 4pm on Saturday, missing the tour unfortunately, but had a brilliant time chatting to the assistant cheese makers in the gift shop and tasting the full range of cheeses that they make. The gift shop sells a really interesting range of artisanal goods too (cider, ale, wine, meat, maple syrup, etc).
We had this cheese paired with fresh venison bologna and it was incredible. Get the garlic and herbs flavor! Worth the detour to visit.
I recommend a visit unreservedly.
Cool place. You can see the cheese being made and try lots of great samples. The staff are friendly and take the time to answer any questions. The store has a variety of different local food items including, beers, wine, ciders, jams, candies, jewelry and art for sale. We will definitely be stopping by again!
The cheese is so delicious. Staff was very good to us. But the cheese was so good... Enjoy.
Looks like Abraham Lincoln and Oprah got to sample this true gem before we did, but we agree with the celebrities...Plymouth Artisan Cheese is stellar in taste and texture and the creamery has a beautiful museum and is a most majestic and scenic site.
This really was the highlight of our weekend trip to Vermont. The cheese was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, and the site has such great history.
